Professor Zhu Xiaofeng gave a public lecture titled “Iterating towards Seeding” on 14 April 2026, as part of the Faculty of Architecture’s 75th Anniversary Lecture Series “Precision in Imagination”. Drawing on selected built and ongoing works from his practice at Scenic Architecture Office (SAO), Professor Zhu discussed “iterations” as generative processes in architecture, and presented three “form-logics” — Public Courtyard, Folding Roof, and Cellular Cluster — that he has developed over more than two decades of architectural exploration, to reflect his systematic explorations of space, tectonics, and settlement.
